Roulette Rules
Roulette is a random casino game involving a spinning wheel and a ball. The aim of the game is to bet on the number that the ball will land on when it comes to a stop in the spinning wheel.
Placing Bets in the Game of Roulette
All bets are represented on the roulette table which can be found next to the roulette wheel. Players need to place their bets on the roulette table in the section that corresponds with the number or group of numbers that they want to be on. The croupier releases the white roulette ball into the spinning roulette wheel, in the opposite direction to the wheel. Just before the roulette ball drops into a numbered slot on the wheel, the croupier calls out "no more bets" and the players may not place any more bets.
Types of Bets in Roulette
There are different types of bets that can be placed in a game of roulette. Players are able to bet on specific numbers or on groups of numbers. There are ten different bets that can be placed in a game of European roulette and eleven bets that can be placed in a game of American roulette. The types of bets are divided into two sections – inside bets and outside bets.
